DESCRIPTION: EPW - Jean Tinefae, Genève, hour striking clockwatch verge fusee with hour repeat on demand, 53mm, low karat gold (tested, exhibiting very slow fade of 10K solution on stone and we suspect content is likely in the 8K to 9K gold range) OF original case pierced for sound transmission and with engraving detail to rear perimeter, white enamel dial with winding apertures for time and strike, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and engraved foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, no visible s#. Gross weight of assembled watch 64.3 dwt (100.0 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking in most positions but stopping when turned dial down, good clockwatch and repeat functions, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with scratches near pillar pins, scattered fine scratches elsewhere, visible surface of repeat bell with fine scratches; dial with scattered nicks and scratches, few perimeter hls; fine hands, one side of hour arrow tip has a soldered repair at its base; case shows light wear, three piercings adjacent to hinge have been widened, few scattered dents to rear with the most notable bring a crease-type depression at left side; tight bow; good domed glass crystal.
